Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

The Marketing Parlour ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What we collect

  • Contact form: name, business name, email, phone, website, areas of interest, and the content of your message.
  • Member accounts: when you create a member account we collect and store your full name, business name, contact phone number, email address, and an encrypted password. This information is stored in our authentication and profile database (Supabase) and used to operate the members area.
  • Proposal access: if you receive a private proposal, we record the email used to request access and a hashed one-time access code, plus basic access events (timestamp and IP) for security.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser user agent, captured when you submit a form, to help us detect spam and abuse.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about.
  • To verify access to private proposal pages.
  • To protect this website from spam, abuse and unauthorised access.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies strictly necessary to function. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.

4. Third parties

We use trusted third-party providers to operate this site, including:

  • Supabase — secure database and authentication.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails (proposal access codes and contact replies).
  • Hosting, content delivery and security providers used to keep the site online.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. Some may store data outside Australia.

5. How we store and protect data

Personal information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. Access to your information is restricted to people who need it to do their job. We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@marketingparlour.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

7. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at info@marketingparlour.com. If we cannot resolve it, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
